Local cryotherapy (also known as localised cryotherapy) is an amazing treatment that’s scientifically-backed to be able to achieve next-level results for your health, wellbeing and pain management. At RLabs, our local cryo treatments are performed by our expert staff in our state-of-the-art facility at Shop 5, 7 Gregory Hills Drive, Gregory Hills, Sydney.

Your localised cryotherapy treatment will first involve you identifying to our staff the area you’d like to have treated and discussing your specific needs. We’ll then use a small handheld device to apply a fine mist of super-chilled air to the area, virtually painlessly.

Local cryo treatments provide a whole host of benefits, including reducing pain and inflammation, repairing muscle tissue damage, aiding in post-surgery recovery, enhancing blood circulation and improving skin elasticity.

Why RLabs for cryotherapy treatments?

Here at RLabs, we’re constantly excited by collisions of science, innovation, technology and health. Our brand-new laboratory was created to provide the public with cutting-edge treatments that improve the way we look, feel, move and sleep. We’re about recovery, recharging and having the utmost respect for our bodies and all they do for us.

Our tools and our team create a space where for the human body – anything is possible.

01 / Blood flow and circulation

The extremely cold temperatures experienced during cryotherapy treatments spark our body’s most ancient survival mechanism - vasoconstriction. This is where our blood is enriched with oxygen, nutrients and healing enzymes, promoting overall wellbeing.

02 / Injury rehabilitation

Cryotherapy is an excellent addition to any injury rehabilitation routine. If you’re in pain, cryo injury treatments can help to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, decrease swelling, increase your range of motion and speed up your recovery.

03 / Anti-ageing and skin health

Local cryo can achieve amazing results for your skin’s appearance and health. By freezing the outer layer of the skin, the body is encouraged to produce more collagen, meaning the skin regains elasticity and appears younger, smoother and more refined.

Re/charge. Re/boost. Re/lax. Achieve amazing re/sults at RLabs.

Have some questions?

How does local cryotherapy work?

Local cryotherapy works by applying extremely cold air to a targeted area. Common areas to treat usually include the ankles, elbows, neck, shoulders, knees and lower back. The treatment basically works like an extremely targeted ice pack, providing a rush of oxygenated blood to the area, a natural analgesic effect and a reduction in muscle tension.

Does local cryotherapy hurt?

Local cryotherapy is a similar sensation to whole body cryotherapy. Local Cryotherapy feels refreshing and relaxing and should cause any discomfort. However, you’ll be fully supervised throughout, and if at any time you feel uncomfortable, our staff will be able to cease the procedure immediately.
